Jorge González aka Giant González was hands down one of the biggest pro-wrestlers the world has ever seen. There are some giants in the wrestling business, and then there was Giant González - a giant who would dwarf other giants like The Undertaker, Braun Strowman, Kane, Big Show, Andre the Giant, and many others - and by a lot at that.
Jorge González was billed by the WWE (then WWF) as an 8 feet tall wrestler - but height can't be built as everyone already knows. WWE has an old habit of increasing their wrestlers' height in the hope of making them seem more intimidating, impressive, etc. Like they had ramped up a seven feet tall Andre The Giant's height to 7'4".
But honestly, there was no need to do so in this case. Mr. González was already more than enough tall - but we guess you can never have enough, and 8 feet sure sounds even more impressive than 7 and an unknown number of inches. Anyway Giant González wasn't really 8 feet tall but then what was his real height?
Before being a pro-wrestler, Giant González was a basketball player. He was measured 7'2" at the age of 16. Lots of people grow after 16, and Giant Jorge González was one of them. Guinness Book of World Records credits him as the world’s tallest professional wrestler at the height of 7’6″ around the year 2000. Though in the Argentinan (his home country) basketball scene, he was used to be listed at 7'6.5''.
But then it is also said that he was measured just a shade over 7'7" around the year 2002. It is a sure bet that a person of his size must lose more than an inch of height during the course of the day - so there could be slight discrepancies in the measurements if not done by professionals. So yes, he could easily be 7'7" at his peak and slightly shorter later in the day.
The real and prime height of Giant González was
7'6.5" or 230 cm
Rey Mysterio (5'2"), The Undertaker (6'7" to 6'6"), Kane (6'8"), Kevin Nash (6'10" to 6'8"), Big Show (7" to 6'10"), Andre the Giant (7"), and Giant Gonzalez (7'6.5") |

Data painstakingly extracted more or less from Wikipedia and some other sources. Expect up to half an inch of discrepancy from real life. All heights are supposed to belong to relatively young people of the urban areas, so they may come out slightly over the real average height.
