I would definitely like to continue playing Aquaman. Playing a superhero is a lot of fun. Creating these stories is a lot of fun. I do what I love. And what I love is entertaining people.
~ Alan Ritchson
Famous actor, Alan Ritchson is known for his work in The CW superhero series "Smallville", DC Universe / HBO Max series "Titans", and recently for portraying the character of Jack Reacher on the Amazon Prime Video series "Reacher".
Alan Ritchson was a good choice for playing the role of Jack Reacher. Like Jack Reacher, Alan Ritchson is tall and well-built, though certainly not 6 feet 5 inches tall as Reacher is supposed to be. Though Alan surely looks the part and towers over everyone in the series (the big boots he wears help).
In this video, when asked about his height, Alan Ritchson said:
Uh barefoot I'm 6'3", so when they put my giant boots on I'm 6'5".
In another video, when asked:
How did you happen upon this role? I know people are into it because uh reacher was supposed to be this big strapping dude and you're what six four (6'4")?
Alan Ritchson replied:
Yeah, I'm about six-three (6'3"), six three and a half (6'3½"), but yeah in Reacher -- in the first book he is six-five (6'5") to twenty (220 lb), and as the myth grows about his uh how large he looms, he gets bigger as the series goes on, he's eventually 250 (lb) and 6'5", uh so I put on about 30 pounds for the role so I was you know with (combat) boots on six five (6'5"), 235 (lb).
But after taking a careful look at Mr. Ritchson and comparing his tall and strong stature to that of some other famous people, we think Mr. Ritchson is nowhere close to 6'3½" just like The Rock is nowhere close to 6'5" tall.
We think, Alan is exactly around an inch shorter than his claim, and by the way, Alan weighs 240 lb (109 kg) now and if he is on this route, he is going to reach 250 lb soon enough.
The real height of Alan Ritchson is
6'2" or 189 cm

Anytime you have an opportunity as an actor to really grow along with your character, I think that's a real gift.

I didn't really grow up a comic book fanatic. I was a big baseball player, and my passion in life, in third grade, was collecting baseball cards. That was my childhood thing.
