Burt Reynolds Height

All you really have in the end are your stories.

~ Burt Reynolds

Famous American actor, Burt Reynolds was considered a sex symbol and icon of 1970s American popular culture. He is remembered for his work in movies such as Boogie Nights, Deliverance, Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit, and The Longest Yard. On TV he starred in Gunsmoke, Evening Shade, Dan August, etc.

About Burt Reynolds' Real Height

Burt Reynolds seemed to have a good physical presence in his movies -- regardless of whether he was tall or not. But Burt definitely was height conscious. We just mean that he was aware of just how tall (or short) he was.

Several times, Burt claimed to be 6 feet tall or more, and several times he claimed to be just 5 feet 11 inches tall. In the newspaper The Windsor Star issue of August 3rd, 1966, Burt is quoted saying:

"All actors are six feet tall or over in their biographies," he said. "Mine says I'm 6 feet 1 but I'm only 5 feet 11."

After taking a careful look at Burt Reynolds, we think he could have been 5 feet 11 inches tall -- especially early in his career. But later, he became shorter with age and looked no more than 2 inches taller than Mark Wahlberg (5'8") in the movie Boogie Nights (1997).

Height loss with age is normal. It happens mainly due to the compression and dehydration of the spinal discs.

The real height of Burt Reynolds was

5'11 in (180 cm)
