About Karl-Anthony Towns' Real Height
Karl-Anthony Towns is one giant of a human being. His official height is 7 feet (213 cm) which makes him more than a foot taller than the average height of American men (around 5'9½").
But is Karl really that tall? We ask this since he looks almost the same height as LeBron James who is "just" 6 feet 7½ inches tall (not 6'8" or 6'9" as popularly reported).
Towns measured 6'10¼" without shoes at his Kentucky pro day prior to his freshman year when he was probably just 17. But from what we have seen of KAT, we don't think he grew much after that.
This makes Karl-Anthony Towns just as tall as someone like Anthony Davis and around 2 inches shorter than a real 7-foot-tall man -- Shaquille O'Neal.
